Chamber Update

By: Andrea Miller, Executive Director

Main Street improvements continue with the instillation of the hitching posts in Stanford. The hitching posts were purchased with money that the Main Street raised during their recent fundraiser at the First Southern Community Arts Center, where we auctioned off wooden planters.

Chamber Update

By: Andrea Miller, Executive Director

The Chamber is undergoing some growing pains. We are still working out the details of the list-serve, so I am sorry for that!

First, we had a HOLE IN ONE at the Golf Scramble, congratulations to Tim Whitis, playing on the St. Farm team. He wins a great golf trip to Michigan. A huge thanks to Stuart Powell Ford Madza for providing the insurance for that! A big thanks to all our hold sponsors, our cart sponsors, Fort Logan Hospital and Drs. Bates, Miller & Sims, and our GOLD SPONSOR, AFFINIA BRAKE PARTS. We had a beautiful day for golf!

The next Cruise In will be held, Friday, July 15, and the Run for Independence, 5K, will be held that next morning, July 16. Registration before July 1 is 15.00, and after 20.00. Race day registration begins at 7:15 and the race will begin at 8 am

Tuesday, July 19, 11-1, there will be a Business During Hours, at the newly renovated First Southern Community Arts Center, on Depot Street. Stop in an tour the newly renovated building, enjoy some great food and networking.

Free Document destruction day is tomorrow July 9th, 2011 at Boyle County Recycle Center from 8AM until Noon.

Note: Just a quick reminder that there will not be a board meeting on July 12. Our next meeting will be on August 9th.

Welcome To Our Blog

By: Andrea Miller, Executive Director

Hello and welcome to the official blog of the Lincoln County Chamber. We are so excited about our recent changes to our website and we hope you like them too. As part of our redesign we wanted to have a central location to provide news and notes to our Chamber members and for all of Lincoln County. The Blog will be the place where you'll be able to find a variety of useful information such as announcements, news about local fund raisers, news of the next great Chamber events, recaps and pictures of previous Chamber events, and pretty much anything and everything Lincoln County.

You never know who you'll be hearing from here on the Blog so be sure to check back often!
